Ramp Tricks Clamp: Black
Align the Scooter
-
Straighten the front wheel
-
Stand in front of the scooter and make sure the front wheel is pointing directly forward.
-
Adjust the wheel so it’s parallel with the deck of the scooter for accurate alignment.
-
-
Square the handlebar
-
Look at the handlebar from above and ensure it is perfectly perpendicular to the deck.
-
Check that both sides of the handlebar are level and even.
-
Position the Clamp
-
Locate the slot inside the shaft
-
Open the clamp and find the small slot inside the vertical shaft.
-
Slide the slot into position so that it sits exactly in the center where the clamp halves meet.
-
This ensures the clamp grips evenly and the handlebar doesn’t tilt.
-
Tighten the Bolts
-
Start with a light touch
-
Slightly tighten the top bolt first, then the bottom bolt just enough to hold the clamp in place.
-
-
Alternate and align
-
Continue alternating between the top and bottom bolts gradually.
-
This keeps the clamp square and prevents misalignment or uneven pressure.
-
-
Increase tension gradually
-
Slowly tighten both bolts until the clamp is secure.
-
Avoid over-tightening, but ensure there is no movement in the handlebar or shaft.
-
Final Check
-
Inspect the clamp
-
Make sure the gap between the clamp halves is even all around.
-
-
Confirm alignment
-
Double-check that the handlebar and front wheel are perfectly aligned.
-
-
Test stability
-
Try gently moving the handlebar; it should feel firm with no wobble.
