Scooter Shank Replacement Guide:

Tools You'll Need:
  • 4mm Allen key
  • 12mm spanner
  • 3mm Allen key
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • 17mm spanner

Step 1: Remove the front wheels:
Use a 4mm Allen key or 12mm spanner to remove both front wheels.
Note: The left wheel has an anti-clockwise thread. Turn it clockwise to loosen.

Step 2: Remove the Deck:
Turn the scooter upside down. Remove the 8 Phillips screws from underneath the scooter, then lift off the deck.

Step 3: Remove the Shank:
Use a 17mm spanner to remove the nut from the shank bolt.
Make a note of the washer order for reassembly.
Remove the 3mm Allen bolt from the pivot point of the shank.
Note: Don’t lose the nut on the underside.

Step 4: Install the New Shank:
Position the new shank over the large bolt and reinstall the washer(s) in the correct order.
Align and insert the 3mm Allen bolt, then tighten securely.

Step 5: Secure the Shank:
Reattach the 17mm nut and washer to the bolt.
Tighten it gently – the shank should move freely and return with spring tension.

Step 6: Refit the Wheels:
Reinstall the wheels using a 4mm Allen key or 12mm spanner.
Note: The left wheel tightens anti-clockwise.

Step 7: Reattach the Deck:
Replace the 8 Phillips screws underneath the scooter to secure the deck.

All Done! Your scooter is now ready to ride.
